Our purpose
Overweight and obesity affect almost half of adults in Sweden, yet many do not find the right help in time. Waiting times at healthcare centres are long, and today's GLP-1 medicines (Mounjaro and Wegovy) are effective but require assessment by a doctor. We believe a structured approach can make the process faster, safer and more transparent.
Who are we?
Vikt was founded in 2025 and offers doctor-led medical weight-loss treatment by video anywhere in Sweden or in person in Gothenburg. Our treating doctor is Dr Masoud Sorkhabi, senior consultant physician. You meet the doctor at your first appointment, by video or in person in Gothenburg, for an individual medical assessment and a treatment plan. The doctor then follows up your treatment according to the plan. Alongside the treatment service, we publish independent information about weight-loss medication on the website.
Who carries out the medical assessment?
The medical assessment is carried out by Dr Masoud Sorkhabi, senior consultant physician. Your first appointment takes place by video or in person in Gothenburg. Treatment, your plan and follow-up are then tailored to the doctor's medical assessment. Follow-up may take place digitally when the doctor considers it medically appropriate.
The process at a glance
- Start with the free preliminary check, then send a free request with your contact details and, if you wish, a preferred appointment time.
- We review your request, confirm a time for your first doctor's appointment (by video or in person in Gothenburg) and send you a link to pay the first month.
- The doctor carries out an individual medical assessment and makes the medical decision.
- When treatment is appropriate, you receive a treatment plan and follow-up according to it.
- Follow-up may take place digitally when the doctor considers it medically appropriate.
Your request is a first step, not a medical consultation or a guarantee of treatment. The doctor carries out the medical assessment at your appointment. A prescription can never be guaranteed.
How we work
- The medical assessment is carried out by our treating doctor, Dr Masoud Sorkhabi, senior consultant physician, at your first appointment, by video or in person in Gothenburg
- The doctor may prescribe medication when medically indicated. We do not sell or dispense medicines; you collect and pay for them at a pharmacy.
- Our content follows guidance from the Swedish Medical Products Agency and the National Board of Health and Welfare
- We do not accept payment from pharmaceutical companies or pharmacies for editorial content

Treatment starts with a doctor's appointment by video or in person in Gothenburg, an individual medical assessment and a personal treatment plan. SEK 450 per month – first doctor's appointment by video included. Minimum 4 months (SEK 1,800 in total), then cancel whenever you like. Medication is paid separately at the pharmacy. Medication and any tests are paid for separately. Book a doctor's appointment. The preliminary check and the booking request are free. You pay the first month before the doctor's appointment.
